Intro to Critical Theory: Psychology, the Mind, and Consciousness

Why do people do what they do? What is the structure of the mind? What is consciousness? What is the unconscious?

These are some of the questions psychologists and the field of psychology are set out to answer. Notable psychologists we will study will include Freud, Lacan, B. F. Skinner, and Jung. Each one provided perspectives on human behavior that are incredible useful tools for dissecting and analyzing human behavior and the mind.
