This is a strange one.

This is an offensive one.

And I love this book.

This novel explores society's restrictions and the constant grab for power between chaos and order. It explores drugs, sexuality, sanity, identity, and many other elements too all from the perspective of the Big Chief Bromden.

Some people believe this novel to be sexist. It's a bit hard to argue (see article attached below) with the conflict between men and women being especially bias toward the male perspective. However, Chief Bromden's perspective dominates the text and his understanding of sexuality isn't necessarily the author's.

That poses another question: How much of the author is reflected in Bromden? In McMurphy? Or how much of them are a reflection of you?

This is going to be a fun read. Let's get to it!
